Kindle Matchbook

Quick Tip for Ebook Authors.

If you have both print and ebook versions of your book, check out Amazon’s Matchbook offer.

Still relatively new, Matchbook offers buyers of print books a cheap price on the addition of the ebook version. I don’t see a downside for you, the author, to Matchbook yet. You sell your print book and usually would not get a second sale on the ebook version.

Readers tend to make a choice when they buy the book: Will they buy the ebook? Or the print? If they choose print, then Matchbook gives you the second sale — the ebook — which you usually would not have made otherwise.

Look for the Matchbook checkbox in the Rights & Pricing page for kindle uploads, or find it via your Kindle dashboard, via the book title ->Rights & Pricing
